Project: Salt Dispenser

Last week a did a project one day that I had seen somewhere online. It was probably on Pinterest that I saw someone post that the tops from the salt dispenser you get from the stores actually fit perfectly on the top of a mason jar. So I thought I would do that and also do a little decorating of the jar itself!

My supplies - jar, salt container with a spout top, hot glue gun and glue, a razor, paint brush, hemp twine, Mod Podge, and a little doily.

First I cut the top of the salt dispenser. It's important to cut it just smaller than the widest part, but not too small so it doesn't fall into the mason jar.

Cut the doily to fit the lid and make sure the spout can pop out!

Glue the hemp twine around the jar as much as desired.

Put on lid, label, and add salt!

I love how much more fun it is to use this each time I open the cupboard to use my salt. =)
