I haven't posted in a while simply because there hasn't really been a whole lot to write about! Also I haven't taken pictures of really one event. So this point will just be a smattering of pictures from the last couple weeks.
After Josh and I got to spend the whole day at Fort Bliss with Nate he was there the week doing demobilization with his unit. On Saturday he had some free time again so Dani and I went in the evening and had dinner with him then hung out for a while. I was glad I got to see him before he went home the next day.
Then on Sunday Dani and I made candied apples during the afternoon.
We learned one thing: NEVER DO IT AGAIN.
They were heavenly. But we were exhausted.
Josh's friend was supposed to come stay with us so I stacked up all the junk in this room to try and make it semi-presentable. He actually ended up being stuck at work and never made it out, but at least it motivated me to accomplish some major organizing!
I think this was the first time I've ever seen a rainbow
that I could capture decently on my camera phone.
We house sat for my bosses actually a couple times. The cats hung out with us the night it was cold and rainy. They are so funny together!
Poor little Jacob had the flu last week. He seemed fine for the most part but vomited the first two mornings of the week I was there. After the second time I gave him a little rest before doing anything else to risk making a mess. Here he is eating toast.
We watched Top Gear with Josh's mom one night last week, it was fun.
We're enjoying the first fires of the season!
The kids are intrigued with the music coming from my ipod...
On Thursday I went to my first college basketball game! NMSU won by 20 points.
I went in to Walmart the other day to have a car battery checked, and while I was sitting in the lobby the tv was playing this Scripture reading. The entire hour I was there this was all that was on, the words on the screen and a man reading the passages. I was kind of blown away that they would have this playing at Walmart!
I love the kids in their cute little winter hats!
Going to the store and helping me with the groceries is their favourite thing. They LOVE the rides I give them in the cart and they're my best helpers when it comes to putting things on the counter at the register!
This week Josh will work Monday and Tuesday full days and I will work Tuesday and Wednesday my normal morning hours. His family is coming into town on Wednesday so we will enjoy some time that evening and then Thursday with everyone. Friday we will drive to Peoria to stay with Uncle Jim and Aunt Anette and see the Terp side of the family as well as my immediate family who will meet us there! I am very excited to get to see some of my family this holiday too. After the weekend in Peoria my parents will come back here with Josh and I for a few days before driving Josh's old car back for Sarah to have in California. I look forward to having them here for a few days and getting to see a little bit of our life!
this is such a fun assortment of pictures and memories! I can't wait to see you on friday. =)
