It has been a very fun week here in Utah. Different from what we are used to, but enjoyable! I'm pondering the memories that I have with Nate and Rebecca and thinking about all the dynamics of their relationship. It's so fun to see what can happen with the people you don't expect.
Seven years ago this summer, I worked at Pioneer Bible Camp. Somewhere in that summer I met this crazy girl named Rebecca. God worked something unbelievable and made her my best friend. Tomorrow night she will marry my brother and take the name Rupprecht.
I'm so glad God brought Rebecca into my life and through me into Nate's life. I'm so grateful for the friend she has been to me through the journey life has taken us on. I'm in awe that God has chosen her to be the woman to stand by my brother in his challenging career and beyond. I'm thrilled that she will be the REAL aunty to my children!
I can't even guess how many conversations we had through our teen and young adult years about who we would marry, the kind of guy, etc. I had no idea that for Rebecca that would someday be my brother. Nate I'm so glad you get to be the one to take care of my friend. I'm so blessed to know that Rebecca has found herself a man who loves the Lord and loves her so much. I'm excited to watch your marriage blossom and see how God uses you both through your gifts.
I love you both so much and am excited to spend tomorrow with you and watching you begin your life together!
