Fort Seldon

Today we went to Fort Seldon National Monument! It was the Annual Frontier Days event celebrating and memory of the soldiers who lived at the fort protecting settlers from bandits and Apache indians. It was pretty fun, the weather was GREAT! We loved the drizzly rain and cold which was a breath of fresh air after so much heat this summer. Today has been a real treat.

Meat roasting on a self rotating spit.

Adobe oven, we ate some freshly baked bread from this.

Like I said, it was a beautiful day.

The only picture I made it into.

Cactus flower!

  1. That reminds me of the first Reber-Rupprecht family debacle....I mean outing! Really - it does look like tons of fun and you could even wear a HOODIE!
