Church prep, rehearsal, and rehearsal dinner

The day before the wedding, a whole group of us descended upon the church to decorate and prepare for the next day! We had people setting up tables and chairs, preparing food, putting up decorations, making bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages, decorating the isle ends, etc. Fortunately many hands make light work and it didn't take us all day. We're so fortunate to have lots of people willing to help!

Linda cooked the dinner at the church in the afternoon before the rehearsal

After dinner we had a time of sharing. It was fun to hear all the silly and endearing things people had to share about Sarah & Sam! And funny to realise the times at which different family members and friends began to realise that Sarah & Sam liked each other.

Sam & Sarah's Family Shower

Several days before the wedding, the families gathered at the park for some yummy food, fun social time, and a chance to give Sam & Sarah some gifts that they can use for date nights. They got lots of fun things to do at a park, restaurant gift cards, etc! I think Mom came up with this idea when Nate & Rebecca got married as they will be moving around a lot and it wasn't practical for them to have a tool party like we usually have for the men.

Joshy's Baptism

In early June we had the privilege of watching my youngest brother get baptized. Since we don't have our own building it has become tradition to use the pool of one of the families at our church.

It was wonderful to have both sets of grandparents there!

This was Sarah's last Sunday at Coast before her wedding!

We are very glad that Josh is professing Christ as his Saviour. This was an extremely special day and event to witness! We are praying for him and are excited to see what the Lord does in the life of this talented young man.
